Caregivers give so much of themselves to others that their own wellbeing often gets pushed to the bottom of the list. We know this because our founder lived it.
Hrishik Agarwal, our founder, was just stepping into his teenage years when life handed him a lesson no child is prepared for. Two days after a birthday go-kart race, his father suffered a stroke — and everything familiar changed.
What followed wasn't just a medical journey. It was a growing-up story. Hrishik learned to become a caregiver in practice, not theory. He learned how community holds a family together when it's struggling to hold itself together. And he learned that recovery rarely looks like a single dramatic turning point — more often, it looks like physiotherapy sessions, card games, quiet dinners, and the stubborn decision to try again tomorrow.
From tennis courts in Mumbai to a long-awaited family trip to the UK, from Monopoly games to finance internships, Hrishik's teenage years were shaped by learning how to think, adapt, and show up when life refused to behave according to plan. It wasn't the loud, cinematic kind of resilience — it was the quiet kind, built one small choice at a time.
That experience never left him. Years later, he realized how few spaces exist for caregivers to be honest about what they're carrying — the guilt, the fatigue, the grief that doesn't always look like grief. So he built one, and continues to do so through Beyond Care Foundation.
To leverage empathetic engagement and evidence-based support strategies to promote mental wellness among caregivers — helping them manage stress, prevent burnout, and build sustainable coping practices, while connecting them to resources, community, and professional support when needed.
We provide a space made specifically for the realities of caregiving — for the exhaustion that's hard to admit and the resilience that goes unrecognized. Through one-on-one sessions with licensed professionals, a confidential self check-in to understand where you stand, peer circles to connect with people who understand, and a growing library of practical guides, we help caregivers process what they're carrying and build sustainable ways to keep going.
You can't pour from an empty cup. When caregivers have the tools and space to care for their own mental health, everyone in the care relationship benefits.
Hrishik learned this the hard way, as a teenager who didn't have a choice. We're here so that today's caregivers don't have to learn it alone.
Caregiving doesn't come with a manual, and most of what you learn, you learn by living it. This space brings together practical tips and simple lessons gathered from caregivers who've walked this road before you — not clinical advice, but the kind of small, honest insights that make a hard day a little easier.
